“The Strength”

By Princess Pat Akpabio

Been through Hell & back
yet, I've found the strength in God
to keep a smile on my face.
I've been "abused", rejected, dejected, confused, cheated and cheated on,
frustrated, lied to, belittled, exposed to so much danger, taken for granted, accused wrongly, misunderstood, pointed a gun on my head & stereotyped, etc
yet, I've found the strength in God to keep a smile on my face.

I've cried myself to sleep, I've cried myself awake, I've cried bitter tears of pains & sorrows, I've cried and cried
yet, I've found the strength in God to keep a smile on my face.
I've been sick to the point of death, I didn't think i’ll have children but I do today,
I've been through so many untold sorrows n pains,
yet I've found the strength in God to keep a smile on my face.

I tell people "I'm a hustling child of God" they laugh because to them all that glitters is Gold but they fail to know that "water under enough amount of light glitters, snow glitters under enough amount of sunlight" EDPA
Don't be in a hurry to judge me based on what you see or heard about me, until you've heard my full untold story because under my disarming smile is a young woman who has passed through FIRE, ABUSES, REJECTIONS & the list goes on,
I’ve found strength to put a smile on my face

I'll say it again " MY MISTAKES ARE NO WORST THAN YOURS JUST BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN"-Dolly Parton. Every day of my life I look forward to my RISING because God is the lifter of my head. I've learnt to depend more on God than anybody. I've learnt that people you love, when they wrong you in this neck of the wood, called earth, will never take responsibility for their wrongs, rather they look for others to blame for their wronging you and up till now I can't reconcile the differences of "taking responsibility & and accusing an innocent person for your actions".

With everything I've been through in this life, I address my verses to those who are battling with unhappiness, Abuse of all forms, lies, rejection, pains, sorrows, guile, being misunderstood Etc God isn't asleep. He is alive yesterday, today and forever, keep pushing until you breakthrough and always find your strength in God to keep a smile on your face

Women Emancipate yourself from limitations fear of the unknown in life and begin to see possibilities in God that you deserve the BEST not good enough. The God of love will fight for You. Upon all that I've been through "I've found strength in God to keep a smile on my face".

I am Princess Pat Akpabio and this is changing minds changing attitudes
